The athletes are picked and training up for the OCR World Championship in Limerick, Ireland this year! August 6-9, 2026
The official roster dropped, check out some faces and names that will representing USA below.

Mud, obstacles, and National Pride is coming out at this Event, one of the benchmark events for worldwide Pro Level obstacle course Athletes.

And will OCRWC in Ireland be on the Prediction Contest this year?!?!

Spartan just pushed out their 2026 National Series prize money announcements, spreading a few bucks across the continents. North America seems to be getting the largest prize pot, with Europe not far behind, and Finland / Netherlands picking up the leftovers.

The initial announcement looked okay I guess.
But if you dig into it…. we’re a little confused…
Sorta looks like the Total Prize Purse shown is getting spread out a good bit, since there’s multiple Series Locations involved with each prize purse shown.

Spartan’s IG Post states “Prize Money is equally distributed among the first three male and female finishers”.

Waiting for clarity, but as of now, this is sorta what it’s looking like to a few of us who are down in the weeds. ☘

US & Canada - $10,000 Total Prize Pot
$3,000 / $1,250 / $750 for 1st/2nd/3rd men and women.
4 Series Events: NorthEast / South / West / Canada
If 1st/2nd/3rd gets prize money in each Series here, we’re looking at $750, $312.50 and $187.50.

Seems weird.. but that’s how it kinda looks.
If anyone has some concrete info, send it over!

For the other Continents:

France, Germany-Austria, Italy, Spain & UK - $7,000 Total Prize Pot
$2,000 / $1,000 / $500 for 1st/2nd/3rd men and women.
5 Series Events: France / Germany-Austria / Italy / Spain / UK
If our logic is true: 1st/2nd/3rd would be getting $400, $200 and $100.

Finland & Netherlands - $4,000 Total Prize Pot
$1,000 / $600 / $400 for 1st/2nd/3rd men and women
2 Series Events: Finland / Netherlands
If our logic is true: 1st/2nd/3rd would be getting $500, $300 and $200.

So.
The big QUESTION is…. is this how the Total Prize Pot is being distributed?!?!
Or are we missing something?
Is it “PER SERIES” maybe?
Seems weird if so.
I’d think Spartan would push it to look better and write $40,000 Total Prize Pot!!! Instead of $10K, ya know???

You guys think more Pro’s will show up this year?!?!
Well. We might find out soon, as the first US National Series race of the year kicks off in just 8 days in Jacksonville, FL.

Did another WTH Happened in OCR youtube vid go out?

Yes. It did.

Am I psyched about it???

No. Not really.

The video, the editing, the content… meh.
Wasn’t psyched on it this month.
But keeping consistent and hopefully progress is made in all these areas 👍

Anyway, I just talked briefly on a couple quick items in the Video this month.

- The World Obstacle/Fiso merger into UIPM
- Spartan Lake Perris Cali and Dubai kicked off the year
- Abominable Snow Race
